Our friends at Animal made an extraordinary film that was selected to show at the Sundance Film Festival. They asked us to create a site that let users understand what the film was about as well as get them to relevant film information quickly. Seriously, the trailer made three grown men get teary-eyed… so we said “of course we’ll do it.”
We put together a parallax site that uses the bold imagery of the film and gets the most recent information front and center. We used a dash of jQuery to create a site that introduces users to some of the magic of the film on the way to the information they’re looking for.
After the original site was completed, we have made a number of significant upgrades and enhancements. Perhaps most significant was the integration of the Tugg API, which allowed the filmmakers to promote screenings of the film. The API allows for a feed of ticket purchase links, which are aggregated by Tugg and delivered to the site.
